Jeřáb nature trail

The Jeřáb Nature Trail begins in the heart of a former military area in Ralsko, in the village of Hradčany, directly at the Information Centre of Vojenské lesy a statky ČR, s. p.

The trail was developed by Vojenské lesy a statky. A 3.5-kilometre long circuit has eight stops and runs through beautiful scenery of the local sandstone rocks.

The trail has been named after the common crane – one of the endangered species that have found refuge in Ralsko.

The trail runs along the boundary of Hradčanské Walls, across the easy flat landscape, and can even be made by preschool children within an hour. Information tables along the trail inform about flora and fauna of the Ralsko landscape.

Of course, you can make the trail by yourselves or in the company of our forest pedagogues. We recommend combining the visit with the tour of the VLS Information Centre as well as the excursion to the Station for Handicapped Forest Animals, which is a few dozen meters away and which cares for injured animals from the entire Czech Republic and is also supported by Vojenské lesy a statky ČR.
